Gymnastics Australia and Visit Victoria are excited to launch the 2017 Gymnastics World Cup to be held at Hisense Arena from 22nd – 25th February.
The event will bring world class gymnasts from 15 different nations to compete as part of the FIG World Cup series.
In 2017, competitors will include Krisztian Berki from Hungary (2010, 2011 and 2014 World Champion and 2012 Olympic Champion on Pommel Horse), Sanne Weevers from the Netherlands (Gold Medallist on Beam at the 2016 Rio Olympics) and Emily Little from Australia (Gold Medallist on Vault at the 2016 World Cup in Cottbus, Germany).
As part of the launch, one of
Team USA’s Final Five will be announced as the Ambassador for the World Cup in Melbourne and will join the media launch by telephone.
