Child Safeguarding Policies

Gymnastics Australia’s (GA's) Child Safeguarding and Member Protection policies are part of the organisation’s proactive and preventative approach to uphold our commitment to the safety, wellbeing, participation and empowerment of all children who access our activities, programs, services or facilities.

The Child Safeguarding Policy and the Member Protection Policy should be read in conjunction with each other and the National Integrity Framework . The Child Safeguarding policy outlines the minimum level of expected behaviour for everyone in gymnastics in Australia when working with children and young people. Whilst the Member Protection policy is to ensure that everyone involved in our sport is treated with respect and dignity.

Both policies apply to anyone involved in the sport of gymnastics in Australia including (but not limited to) employees, members, parents/guardians, spectators, volunteers, judges and other officials. For a comprehensive list of who is bound by these policies please refer to the National Integrity Framework
